ABOUT ME

 

Hello!  I'm Autumn C. Wenger and I'm the Always Creative Woman behind ACW Ply Designs.  I love all things creative and happy.  Nice to meet you! 

 

I love oldies music, I love color, and I love making a space feel welcoming with creative techniques.  I have worked in the design industry since 2006, but have been drawn to all things “artsy” for as far back as I can remember.  Painting, wood working, sewing, ceramics, sculpture, glass, dance… you name it, I’ve probably tried it.  Most of all, I love getting my hands dirty and figuring out a challenge.  Don’t tell me I can’t; I’ll do everything in my power to prove you wrong!

 

I graduated with a BA in 2007 from Hanover College, majoring in studio art.  I have had the pleasure of working with several artisans through internships and workshops with such focuses as gallery design and management, glass blowing, upholstery, sewing, carpentry, cabinet making and design.  During my senior year at Hanover, I first dove into my exploration with plywood.  After completing a series of sculptures for my senior independent study, I was honored with the M. L. Greiner Art Purchase Award.  My piece “Chaise” (part of the “Impressions Series”) is now on permanent display at the college.

 

Working in the interior design field, I love working in all areas of the home.  I can help you determine the best solutions for your space, style and budget.  I specialize in kitchen and bath design.  I also love working with projects of all sizes and needs, including window treatments and soft furnishings, furniture and cabinet refinishing, painting, and space planning.  Give me a challenge!

 

Through all of my creative endeavors, I am first and foremost a very happy and blessed wife and Mama.  Our little man, Ethan, never ceases to make me smile.  I am also the very proud puppy mama to Oscar and Olive.  We live in Roanoke Rapids, NC and attend First Christian Church.  I am also a member of the Halifax County Art Council and am active with O’Sail.
